Back in 2011, at the age of 58, Dan experiencing a significant health challenge battled with addictions and episodes of depression, He realised something need to change. And it did.  2011 also become the year Dan would start his journey of inner exploration, rebuilding his health and happiness from the inside out.

 

Now he's on a mission to share his knowledge to support others on their journey to health and happiness.  Dan has researched and explored many evidence-based health & wellness modalities, weaving those which have benefited him

most into his way of life. He has brought these together to create the Health Hack Academy, which be running throughout the year.  Reiki is an also huge part of Dan's life, which he practices daily.

 

Dan is a qualified Reiki Master Teacher, working solely with thetraditional Japanese linage, Usui Reiki Ryoho. This particular linage works with

the Japanese energy system rather than the chakra system and aims to reflect the practices that were taught by the founder of Reiki, Usui Mikao. Dan's experience is that Reiki helps to bring the body back to into balance, back to its true  nature; it awakens our Inner Guru.

The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means "Universal ife" and (Ki) which means "Energy', this is the very source of the energy of the universe which flows through and connects all things.  The Reiki tradition was founded by Mikao Usuiin the early 20th century in Japan and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. Reiki aims to bring the body back to into balance, back to its true nature. Reiki gently peels away the layers of fear, anger, guilt, shame, and other

emotions which are believed to be held energetically within the body, so allowing balance to be restored and the body to heal physical, emotional and spiritual. People may experience a range of physical, emotional and spiritual benefits, some examples are: Physical: Reduced pain, Strengthened immunity

increased flexibility, Reduced time to heal injuries, Emotional:Reduced stress or anxiety, Increased clarity of mind, Space to think, to be mindful Spiritual: Insight into ourtrue nature, Enhanced inner peace Compassion for ourselves and others.
